Sophie's Birthday

It was my daughters 2ND birthday this month. I made a bunch of small paper flowers to use as decorations. I just love paper. Anytime I can use crepe and tissue paper I get very excited. I prefer those kinds of decorations to premade children's themed ones you can buy at a retailer. don't get me wrong the Jumper and the pinata were Dora but everything else was put together by my husband and I. It was fun! Unfortunately I only got a few pictures of the actually decorations that always happens to me. If you like paper flowers you should visit this really cool etsy site POMLOVE. They are easy enough to make but I know how lazy one can feel at times.

Do You Need More Time?

This week is going to be hectic! As kailan would say "lets Go Go Go!" I'm trying to do some carving and printing today and then tomorrow will be spent getting ready for doing wedding on Saturday. But I wanted to share some cool gifts I received. I love the colors of the knife and glasses! They are the same color as my kitchen.

Do you wish people a Happy Memorial Day? It kind of seems like a sad holiday. Anyway here we are. Yesterday was very busy. I made a sort of belated Mothers Day/Early Birthday lunch for my mom and grandmother. We ate alfresco under the pine trees in my husbands succulent garden. I also made Rosemary Apricot Short breads from a recipe off Tartelette. They turned out yummy! You should go there even if you don't cook the photos are beautiful. We also had salad from the garden,onion and rosemary goat cheese tart, and roasted vegetable and olive oil tuna sandwiches sandwiches. Then we took my daughter to play in the fountain at Victoria Gardens. I still feel tired. So today I rest.

The Monarchs Were Coming!

Today when I was on Loveology I came across the Etsy seller Whichgoose. She sells the most lovely hair pieces and pins. One of her combs was called cocoon.It reminded me of when I was taking my dog on a walk and we were in the path of a monarch butterfly migration. It was one of the coolest things that ever happened to me. Thousands of butterflies were just swarming all around us for the entire hour we were on our walk. Maybe someday it will happen again! Tonights Dinner!

Well I went and harvested the lettuce! Micro greens,red oak, swiss chard, and romaine! Im sure they will be yummy! I took some photos of the garden about a month ago...so now Ill share them with you!

Its Early Here Thank Goodness for Coffee

Well its off to Grandmothers today! It should at least be a little cooler in Pasadena today! Sophie is very excited! She is always excited to see any of her grandmothers. So I must photograph my new tags as soon as Im done here! Oh while my computer was down I reorganized my work space. While it is not as fabulous as some it is easier to work in! I didnt realize my supply shelf was side ways! Turn your heads boys and girls!

Well Ive been working hard

Today Ive washed the dishes(I dont have a dishwasher) did the laundry,played with the baby, and printed some new tags I hope to have up on etsy tomorrow. Im 5 months pregnant and my energy has finally returned! Im doing a wedding next week too. Its all reds and maroons. Ill post pictures. For now Ill leave you with some small bowl arragements I made from my husbands succulents which he grows.Ithought they would be perfect for cocktail arrangements. Now Im off to figure something out for dinner!

Really I havent been a bad blogger!

My computer died! actually it was the processor after replacing the power supply,the motherboard, the hard drive, and finally the video card. So what a massive drag of trial and effort. Things are finally back on track!

So here are some things going on here! My roses are in bloom Hurray! I AM COMMANDING THE UNIVERSE SEND ME MANY MORE ETSY SALES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING MORE GERTRUDE JEKYLL ROSES! Ok Ill take off the caps. Those roses are the most delicious beautiful scenterific enties Ive ever smelled. Yves Piaget are pretty good too!
