Marcy Playground - Sex And Candy

I havent played any music for awhile here. So my husband and I were talking about this song and well now I am sharing it with you. Its kind of old now but its still so cool.

cafe lumiere

I watched this movie recently and well I actually had to look it up because at the end I was like"HUH?" Dont get me wrong I got the lumiere reference which I had to explain to my husband. I am not familiar with ozu or the director hsiao hsien. IT wasnt a bad film I just didnt get it. My husband actually rented it and i think its because he knows I enjoy watching the Tadanobu Asano very much....he's so pretty except when he played in ichi the the killer but i loved the fact his character was so flamboyantly dressed and wielding a knife. So has anyone watched a film lately that made them feel like a dummy?

Dinner

I love vegetable salads and we definitely eat a lot of them.

Tonight I made a salad with chick peas, corn, red onion, cucumber, tomato, and green and purple basil from the garden. Can you say yum!

1 can of drained garbanzo beans

1 chopped up red onion

I put these two ingredients in a bowl first to soak up about 1/4 cup of seasoned rice vinegar.

Then I added

1 quartered and chopped cucumber

1 pint of grape tomatoes cut in half

the raw kernels of one corn on the cob

lots of basil chopped

3 tablespoons of olive oil

toss everything together a little salt and pepper to taste and oila!

A little arrangements of flowering basil stalks

Chopped basil

daniel and I took pictures of each other eating dinner and drinking our wine.

Here is a ridiculous one for luuworld.

Here is the husbandito. He didnt like any of his photos.

VintageHarte

Here is a peek at some cards I designed.

I recently designed a logo for an etsy shop called vintageharte.

Pretty Things

I am hard at work.

Here is a little planter you will see at my booth at the Renegade Fair Los Angeles. Just a few more things I thought I would preview. So come out and see me!

Lunch

We went to the park after our Korean adventure and ate this delicious udon salad with Chinese pork.

My best friend packed the picnic....oh my it was delicious. It was so cute packed up in the take out boxes. You pour the dressing in and give it a shake and dump is out on your plate. I wish I had some now.

She also made vichyssoise. Its a cold potato, garlic, and leak soup. We were so spoiled.

Here is the tree we sat under.

Sophie brought us this pretty pink flower she found too. What a day we had!

Last Friday

We went to the HollyWood bowl for a celebration about Korea for children. Here is Sophie with her lucky money bag she made.

Everyone got there own little craft station.

There was also a little play featuring traditional korean dancing and instruments. They also handed out maps of koreatown in Los Angeles with recommendations of where to go. My favorite parts were the girls beautiful dresses. We had a good time. Sophie's Auntie took us for her belated birthday. We also had a picnic.

Update

More lash factor was added in the re-inking.

Look I even steamed ironed it and framed it so it could be more flat.

I think the pagoda looks much better now. Hooray for me. Actually I need to move it over more because a lot of her face got cut off. Poor girl.

Yesterday

When doodles turn into watercolours.

I think the pagoda needs more detail.

More doodle inspiration....should her eyes be open or eyes closed? So I did one of each. Yes I gave her freckles here. Freckles are cute.

Lunchtime. Fancy sausages sundried tomato and mozzarella cheese. They were okay but sophie was in love with them. She ate two!!!! This is the girl that takes one bite and says she is done.

Look what I found on a spring of oregano I was washing off. What a cute little bastard, huh? *HEY STOP EATING MY HERBS!* I didnt kill him though I threw him into the neighbors yard. Im horrible I know.
