This monday was my fantastic birthday! It poured and poured and then it poured some more for my 39th year on this planet! Which really its alright because California always needs the rain! Then in the late afternoon there were rainbows Mother Natures birthday gift to me! I also had a little Valentine birthday party on Saturday. No cake though how sad! Im pregnant and have the gestational diabetes which stinks! But you gotta do what you gotta do!
Lately everything I have been printing is violet! I'm even thinking of doing blues and violets for my Valentine party on Saturday. I love Valentines day! Ill have to be sure to post pictures of the festivities!
Isnt my work space scary? I really should be embarrassed about showing this to the world.
I was just looking around my favorite blogs. If you havent visited Saipua you should! I love all the photos especially this one! The shop site is really cool too!
Well, my husband helped me fix up my blog! He is so super fantanstic! I am so challenged when it comes to all of this stuff! So Ive been visiting a lot of etsy forums and there is so much info to be shared there. There is a site called ByHandME which apparently does free featuring of your esty items but I suppose it could be from other places as well. I also signed up to be featured on
http://dzfantasy.blogspot.com/. So When I finish my questionnaire I guess I am good to go! I was thinking I should probably do some feature like that as well.
Well, since im pretty challenged when it comes to the computer im gonna have to wait for my husband to help me! There is a lot to rearrange on my page. Anyway, Ive finally finished some blocks YEAh! Now I can print some new card and try my hand at the flour sacks again! By the way if anyone stops by my etsy shop, it is Soulflower.etsy.com. These towels are my first try at block printing on fabric. I had some troubles but we will see! Also im really excited because our Mr Stripey tomatoes are sprouting! Here are some pictures from our previous crops.
The birth of my blog I cant believe I finally have this up. This week has been crazy for me. Ive been working on all kinds of drawings for my linoleum blocks, writing estimates for flowers, rearranging my etsy store, and my youngest sister got married on Thursday. I made her bouquet and her husband's boutonniere. I was disappointed to hear about Domino Magazine. It had become my back up after House and Garden folded at the end of 2007. The cool thing which happened was I was listed in the treasury west on etsy. Our street team leader put me on it. Thanks Cindy! I also got my Anthropology catalogue. How cute is the polka dot dress on page 7 , the flamenco shower curtain on page 44, and the sheets on page 37! I could go on forever! I thought I'd share the pictures with you!
