Pancakes

I recently bought some buckwheat so i could make my own pancake mix...however before i do that i have to use up the mix i already have...there are bananas and pecans in the batter as well as the garnish for the top...

Here they are frying in heart healthy butter(HAHAHA!) also i visit the bigbangstudioblog a lot and she had a dutch baby on there which makes me think of pancakes as well...they looked super delicious...someday i plan to make them as well...

Here is my happy helper...i dont make pancakes very often so my helper was squealing which is always very funny especially early in the morning...

Experimenting Printing and Packing

Yesterday i was printing up an order...

When someone buys something from me sometimes my package comes with doodles on it...

Here is a block print card experiment...the chinese lantern cards have not sold at all...so i thought what if i add some little hand finished details...

I also thought what if i add some magenta veins to the green leaf...i think its kinda cool...anyway it is a good way to use up left over ink...

i also usually send an extra card experiment in my orders too...what do you think of my experiments?

My Screw Ups Have Turned Into A Give Away

Here is a bag that didn't turn out so well...i dripped ink on one of the flowers and one of the pink flowers...not so great and i forgot to put paper in the towel so the ink came through on the back on one of the yellow flowers...

Now with all that said... it is still a pretty cute bag to put your stuff or your groceries in or whatever...i use most of my seconds as purses and grocery bags...but i already have a ton...so i offer this one to you...if you want it...

I am rearranging my house and emptying out the studio finally...if you remember in the beginning of the year i had decided to give it to the children...yes they sleep in our room currently...but i was born in the year of the dog so i like my family to cuddle together...this area above was benches and a super fab cocktail table...but now it is the dining table and shelf with my magazines and stuff...so there will probably be more give aways this summer as i condense and move stuff around...all you have to do is leave a comment and have an email and i will pick the winner the day after memorial day on Tuesday...so good luck!

Yes...Why Yes You Are!

I started making no#1 badges for the winners of the party games...but i never finished...they received jars of candy though...I'm sure the kids liked that better and wont even shed a tear over sparkly no#1 badges...

Maybe next year...i just hate saving stuff because i forget where it is sometimes...the colors are fantastic though and nothing says fun like turquoise glitter!

I Am Taking A Moment

the roses are in bloom...i wont bore you with the state of my house...but if you called Niecy Nash on me it would be okay...

Right now these flowers are the only beauty going on in my house...

I'm hoping tonight's dinner is as good as this...my life involves a lot of salad and goat cheese...but you might have guessed that if you have been hanging around here.

Today was Sophie's official birthday at 4:18 pm...but the party took place saturday...
my 83 year old grandmother made her a birthday crown...how awesome is that?

Wishful Thinking

I am wishing that my house will look this fantastic someday. I found this picture over at the house of turquoise. My husband said we cant paint our house this color but the door can be someday. I am hoping we win the megamillions tonight. If we do you are all invited to the most awesome party ever... if we do...maybe i will get that turquoise door sooner rather than later!
