Now you know I love the animes....I REALLY REALLY DO....i know its childish and ridiculous for a woman my age to but i do....so i resisted the urge to see the live action film of this and well finally gave in....m night shyamalan SUCKS....sucks hard....really his movies stink stink worse than my late grandfathers feet and those my friend could clear a room....SERIOUSLY....every single one of his movies sucks at some level if not all....im sorry if you happen to like his stuff....but its just utter crappola....can you tell im mad....i just used the word sucked like 40 million times....that alien movie with mel gibson....horrible....the end was terrible and predictable....that comic book movie with samuel jackson....mr glass aye? what a ridiculous speech to end that movie it was so over the top i laughed for like 30 minutes because i couldnt believe it....i see dead people pretty predictable....oh god and the crazy amish people in the village....lame lame lame....i havent seen the others because well i already know its a waste of time and money....so really this is my own fault....i just want to know who keeps giving him money? ( a late note about this....its not really an anime but close enough!)

I finally put some of my gazillion lemons to use....

They also involved gratuitous amounts of lemon frosting....

Its a recipe from pinecone camp i have been wanting to try....

Janis is the blog owner's name and she does a baking segment usually on mondays...
i recommend you stop by....i tweaked the recipe a little bit....i made my cookies larger...i also used raw sugar and a lot more frosting....but its basically the same...very delicious....

Here is a valentine linoleum i finished up yesterday too!....i am going to print with it later today....i know i know its another pagoda....i cant help it....i am obsessed with them....

How about a little "honey" from my favorite singer this morning....i feel unrequited right now....so here we go!

Butter Your Nut

Last night's dinner....pasta with roasted vegetables...

But the star of the dish was the butternut squash....

Wow...what a color aye?

So what you do is this....peel and chop one squash into small pieces....chop 2 red onions into relatively large pieces....throw in a small handful of peeled whole garlic cloves...add about one pound of brussel sprouts cut in half....toss in olive oil salt and freshly ground pepper....you could also add a tablespoon of finely chopped rosemary and thyme....i was too lazy to do that last night though....place your vegetables in a 400 degree oven in a shallow baking pan or jelly roll type(that's what i used) for about 45 to 50 minutes....Then about 10 to 15 minutes before your veg is done boil water and when your veg should be coming out you can be adding a half a pound of pasta to your salted and oiled water....i used cavatapi....when the pasta is done per their instructions about 9 to 11 minutes....drain and dump water but save a little like 3 tablespoons worth....then i throw everything back into my pasta pot including the vegetables along with a cup of cheddar or about 4 ounces....you could also use Parmesan as well toasted pine nuts might be good in this too....then stir and serve....be sure to taste to see if you need to adjust seasoning....and enjoy....this fed four of us with leftovers... add a green salad to complete your meal...hooray!

Hearts and Flowers

Indigo is perfect for valentine's because you know a blue heart is more romantic....what do you think?

This Week

There were yummy lunches....my daughter even ate her brussel sprouts....

And lots of reading of old magazines, green tea, and tangerines( from my tree(hooray!)....I read lots of old magazines because I have lots of them....you see i stopped taking subscriptions because i have so many and really there is so much inspiration that having more becomes a sensory overload....i seriously have a magazine problem...

Aren't they adorable....well maybe....right now its questionable as my son follows me around demanding more food and yelling at me....he would eat until he pukes if i let him....sometimes he is like a little dog....my daughter eats pretty much anything but only in small quantities....she likes to drink anything liquid....this may be a concern for later....oh my....i am off to read the children some stories....hope your day isn't quite so wet....i think i can say i have had enough rain!
