supermarket pom poms

so i had a really weird dream the other night which prompted me to buy these

but i do love chrysanthemums. i have gone over this right?

they even matched my lipstick

i even wore one in my hair too. i know im nerdy but you still love me,right?

Sunday Lunch

tomato toasts with fried eggs on spinach with balsamic glaze and a bottle of beer

i sliced heirloom tomatoes and added caramelised onions with rosemary and cheese on toast

why are onions so delicious?

i actually toasted the bread before i added my first layer of cheese

then i added sliced tomatoes and a sprinkling of sea salt and cheese

finally i added some onions and and another sprinkling of cheese. i must say it was pretty good and even the kids ate it. i put the the tomato toasts in the oven at 500 f for just a few minutes to melt the cheese quickly. you have to keep an eye out for them though. wish you could have been here!

this morning

my new vase. its so pretty i cant stand it. its a christmas gift from my friend kristi.kisses to her!

my son making bitchy faces when i would tell him to smile. he is still cute though.

my birthday

so of course i made myself a special lunch. we had grilled eggplant sandwiches.

oven roasted fries with a mayo honey dijon and garlic sauce.

the sandwiches had goat cheese and pesto on them with fresh spinach and basil leaves.

and fruit of course....

i wish you were here so i could have given you a bite!

Birthdays

so where have i been? you know i still love you. i just havent had a lot of motivation.

the winter does that to me. imagine if i lived in norway? poor lw! i dont know how you do it.

but i will admit things are beginning to get a little better as the sun is noticeably out longer.

so anyway saturday the 11th i made an impromptu cocktail party for my brothers birthday.

i actually went to the store and assembled everything in less than two hours.

damn im good and then everyone was late by an hour. thats alright though.

the best part was that my brother cancelled at the last second.

thats alright too but it was kinda funny when we were eating his birthday cake.

it was my birthday this past week too on the 16th. i turned 42. woohoo. no party but i went out to dinner with my mother. that kind of seems like an appropriate thing to do with your mother for your birthday. its sort of an amazing date for the both of you, dont you think?
